Each shade is four separate pieces of smoky glass, overlapped, not one moulded globe. That is where the depth comes from.
The bar runs 33.86 inches with five shades along it, each built from four pieces of smoky gray glass overlapped around the socket, so at any angle you are looking through one, two or three thicknesses of grey at once. It drops as far as 73 inches.
