Will the shelves sag once they have real clothes on them?
The shelves and the hanging tube are carried by the steel rod frame and its PP connectors, not by the fabric cover, which is the difference between this and the thin pole wardrobes that bow in the first week. Keep the heavier folded stacks on the lower shelves and the hanging section for coats and dresses.
Can I use it without the cover?
Yes. The cover zips on for a closed, dust free wardrobe and comes off completely if you would rather have open shelving. The frame, the six shelves and the hanging section all work the same either way. The four side pockets are part of the cover, so they come off with it.
