Five small lights strung along a bar, instead of one big one in the middle of the ceiling. That is why the far end of the island gets lit as well as the middle.
Five sockets sit along a 39.37 inch matte black bar, so the light lands as a line down an island instead of a pool in the centre. Each clear rippled glass shade, 5.91 inches across, breaks the filament into a scatter of small highlights rather than one hard point.
Two honest notes. This is a hardwired ceiling fixture, so it wires into the box in your ceiling rather than plugging into a wall, and we recommend the installation is carried out by a qualified, licensed electrician. And bulbs are not in the box: it takes five E12 candelabra bulbs. Indoor use only. Before it ships, your order is parts-verified: every shade, rod, canopy and fixing counted against the list.

One canopy, three ceilings
The rectangular canopy takes rods for a flat ceiling, a chain for a vaulted one and an angled hang for a sloped one, so the ceiling you have does not decide the fixture you can fit.

It takes five E12 candelabra bulbs of up to 40 watts each on a 120 volt supply. Bulbs are not included, so you choose LED, Edison, CFL or incandescent and set the warmth yourself.
Can I put this up myself?
It is a hardwired fixture that connects to your ceiling box rather than a plug, so we recommend a qualified, licensed electrician does the install. All mounting hardware and the eight rods are in the box for them.
