Each shelf is 7.25 inches wide and 5 inches deep, on a back panel 6 inches wide, in MDF finished white. The whole column holds up to 22 pounds. The box holds the shelf parts, a screwdriver, 2 anchors, 13 screws and 10 wood dowels. It weighs 4.8 pounds.
