The shelf on this headboard is not a styling flourish. It is the nightstand you did not have floor space for, with a charging hub wired into it.
Along the headboard's crown runs a storage shelf sized for the bedtime pocket-dump, with a charging hub set into it, two USB ports and one Type C port, so the phone charges beside your head instead of on the floor. The headboard adjusts to sit flush over a mattress from 8 to 12 inches thick, and the grey non-woven fabric over high-density foam padding is comfortable to lean against.
Two practical notes. The charging hub needs a wall outlet, so plan the bed near one. And this is a platform frame with wood slats supporting up to 880 pounds, so no box spring is needed, but the mattress is not included. Before it ships, your order is parts-verified: every slat, rail, leg and fixing counted against the list.
Free US shipping, a 1-year limited warranty, and if anything arrives missing or damaged, the replacement part ships straight to you.

Flush to your mattress
The headboard adjusts between 41.5 and 43.3 inches so the padding meets the mattress cleanly whether yours is 8 inches or 12.
Quiet under the two of you
Wood slats, solid wood legs and non-slip strips carry up to 880 pounds without creaks, and 6.3 inches of clearance keeps the vacuum path open.
