The three drawer cabinet is a separate piece from the desktop, so you set it on the left or the right, and you either overlap the desktop over the cabinet for a compact 31.5 inch footprint or slide it out to the full 39.37 inches. That is four working layouts from two boxes. Three drawers take the everyday kit, the open side shelves take the tall bottles and baskets, and adjustable foot pads keep it level on an old floor. One honest note, because it saves a return: this is the vanity table and cabinet only; the mirror and stool in the styling photos are not included.
